Floating lava samples collected from Hierro!

Earlier this morning, a team of scientists from the IGN went out in a coastguard boat to get close to the submarine eruption site off coast of La Restinga on El Hierro. They observed and took pics of pumice type lava rocks floating on the surface of the sea steaming away and they collected samples aboard their boat.
